Marchesini Group Beauty

The Marchesini Group Beauty is the result of a strategy that is enabling the Marchesini Group – which has always been specialised in the construction of machines and lines for pharmaceutical packaging – to expand into the ever-growing market of cosmetic packaging machinery. 

In the past few years the parent company has launched a series of operations through external and internal lines. 

Externally, significant steps have included the acquisition of three historical Italian companies active in the production of machinery for processing and packaging cosmetic products: Dumek, acquired in 2017, followed by Axomatic and V2 engineering, acquired in a single takeover operation in 2019. Together with Marchesini solutions for the beauty industry, Dumek, Axomatic and V2 engineering technologies enable the Group to avail of an extensive fleet of stand-alone machines and lines for packaging all the main products in the cosmetic sector.

In line with Group practice, the companies forming the cosmetic division of Marchesini Group were taken over with a majority stake, but without altering their manufacturing processes and principal shareholders. 

As a result, on the one hand they continue to manage customers, projects and products independently, in line with consolidated internal dynamics. On the other hand, given its majority holding, Marchesini is in charge of overseeing the organisational aspects and commercial activities of Dumek, Axomatic and V2 engineering, which retain their respective corporate structures, already tried and tested to offer rapid, lean, flexible responses to the typical requirements of cosmetic industry customers.

Internal operations, meanwhile, include the construction of the new Marchesini Group Beauty facility: a 9,000 m² factory being built next to the headquarters in Pianoro (Bologna), which will act as a hub for all the Group’s cosmetic operations.
